Origin story

I started this project to get a foot into adland. Take my portfolio, and turn it into content people might actually watch. A funny, sharp look at the advertising industry. Totally different from my Spec Work

Then I finished the first episode. Watched it back. And: Uh-oh.

The thing is, I’m actually holding back. A lot. What’s in the show is the toned-down version. The version where I stopped myself. Repeatedly.

So here we are. Either this gets me in the door, or it gets the door slammed in my face. I’m genuinely not sure which. I just hope someone in adland has a sense of humour.

Legal-ish This is satire. The opinions are brutal but the affection is genuine. Any resemblance to actual campaigns, real agencies, or living creatives is entirely the point.

What this actually is
The format
SNL Weekend Update — but for adland
Brutal jokes, sharp commentary, zero reverence. Every episode rips into the campaigns, the buzzwords, the awards, the agencies, and the people who make advertising what it is: a magnificent, ridiculous, self-serious industry that desperately needs someone to take the piss out of it.
The tone
Affectionately savage
Not cynicism. Not a hit piece. It comes from someone who actually wants to be in this world, someone who studied it, obsessed over it, and still chose to make fun of it anyway. That’s either endearing or deeply unwise. Possibly both.
Worth noting
This is the restrained version
Every episode is the version where I stopped myself. Where I pulled it back. What didn’t make the cut stays unaired, for now. Consider what you’re watching here as ‘the diplomatic edit’.

Here’s how you can get in touch if:
You’ve got a scoop
You heard something you can’t say yourself
Whether you’re an adland veteran, a fly on the wall at the right lunches, or someone who just happens to overhear things in lifts. If you’ve got something worth saying but don’t want to soil your hands saying it, happy to take the short end of the stick.
For brands
You want ad people spending their salary on you
Rather than watching them blow it on overpriced agency merch, Cannes bar tabs, and limited-edition brand collaborations they’ll never actually use.
For agencies
You want to offer me a job so I’ll shut up
Spoiler alert: it won’t work. I’m already one of the kindest, most compassionate people you’ll ever meet. But you’re welcome to try. The door is open. Genuinely.
